SSC Constables Recruitment - December 2011 for CRPF, BSF, ITBP and Assam Rifles

Staff Selection Commission will issue a big recruitment notification for the posts of Constables in various Central Armed Forces. About 51000 Constable vacancies will be filled in the wings of CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB and Assam Rifles. The Indian Army will assign the responsibility of recruitment to SSC (Staff Selection Commission). Recruitment notification will come out in the first week of December 2011. The total recruitment process will be completed by October 2012. Most of the vacancies may be available in Constables (General Duty) and may be posted across the country. Following are details of posts, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 10240 posts
2) Border Security Force (BSF): 16484 posts
3) Indo - Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 7180 posts
4) Assam Rifles: 8724 posts
5) Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 2500 posts
6) Sasathra Seema Bal (SSB): 5864 posts

Constables (General Duty-GD): 51000 posts across the country; Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 - 20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2000; Only male candidates are eligible for these posts. Age should be between 18-23 years. Qualification: Applicants should have passed in 10th class or Matriculation or High School. Female candidates will be recruited in CRPF and CSIF wings of the Army. Both male and female candidates can apply for posts in Border Districts.

Interested candidates can apply in the prescribed format available on the SSC website at ssc.nic.in. Applications should be sent to the concerned Regional / Sub Regional Office of the Staff Selection Commission. Addresses of various regional Offices will be available with original notification available on ssc.nic.in or notification to be published on Employment News. Application fee is Rs. 50. Women/ SC/ ST/ PH and Ex-Servicemen candidates need not pay any fee. Application fee should be paid in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) or through SBI Challan. You can also pay the fee through account with the State Bank of India.
